Bonnie Carmalt is a 24 year old Magna Cum Laude graduate of Chapman University. Beyond finishing in the top 10% of her graduating class, she was a finalist for the Cheverton Trophy, the highest honor awarded to a graduate. She completed her B.F.A in Television Production and Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Spanish Language Studies. Currently she works in Ventura County as a Sales Rep for a Pharmaceutical Company. She looks forward to continuing her education and obtaining her M.B.A.
After completing a 4 year music program at a performing arts high school in Las Vegas, Bonnie returned home to sunny California where she began pursuing her dream of working as a television personality. A seasoned performer, she has starred in over 25 musical productions, performed 3 major Las Vegas stages, hosted a Late Night cable show and even appeared in a few national commercials. She hopes that these experiences along with placing in the top 10 at Miss California 2009 will help her to launch her dream career.
Bonnie has found ways to put her talent for entertaining audiences to good use by serving as a Peer Pressure Instructor through CampFire U.S.A. and speaking to middle school kids about the dangers of tobacco use. She has also volunteered her time as a spokesperson for America’s Promise, talking to grade school children about the importance of service and citizenship. Currently, Bonnie works with the Ventura County Big Brother/Big Sister Organization as a mentor. Bonnie is most passionate about motivating and empowering children to be the best they can be.
When she is not working, performing, or volunteering, Bonnie enjoys hiking with her dogs, working out at the gym, watching Lakers games, traveling, making a mess in the kitchen or relaxing with family and friends. |
